Alan Penn is a 33 year member of Kiwanis who believes that there is no greater calling than to make a difference in the lives of others.
Alan puts into practice his belief of the importance of community service. Aside from being active in his Kiwanis Club.
He is a volunteer at Garfield Elementary School, serves on the Medina United Way Board, and serves on the Ohio Community Service Council of which he is the past chair.
In 2008 the Ohio Community service Council and the Governor’s Office recognized Alan as the State’s “Outstanding Volunteer”.
Alan is past president of the Tombstone Virginia City and the All Ohio eMedina internet based Kiwanis clubs.
He has a passion for Kiwanis Next programs and believes that innovative approaches for membership, like these internet clubs, are the future of Kiwanis.
“Growth for Greater Community Service Worldwide” is a central theme of his commitment to Kiwanis International.
Alan is a dynamic leader who is often called upon to provide education in the areas supervision, strategic planning, leadership development, governance, and organizational management for non-profit organizations.
Alan was elected as a Kiwanis International Trustee in 2006.
As a Kiwanis International Trustee, Alan believes that through our Kiwanis service there is no greater calling than to make a difference in the lives of others.
He is committed to developing service leaders who are dedicated to serving children, supporting communities, and strengthening the world.
